Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif dan Kritis Siswa SMP dengan Motivasi Sebagai Mediasi

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh self-efficacy, self-regulation, dan self-confidence terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan berpikir kritis dengan motivasi belajar sebagai variabel mediasi pada siswa SMP di Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain survei. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa SMP di Pekanbaru, dengan sampel sebanyak 238 siswa dari 8 Sekolah Menengah Pertama yang dipilih secara acak menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Jumlah sampel ditentukan berdasarkan rumus Slovin. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui survei dengan instrumen angket tertutup yang telah divalidasi dan diuji coba di lapangan. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik, analisis regresi berganda, uji hipotesis, dan uji Sobel untuk menguji efek mediasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara self-efficacy, self-regulation, dan self-confidence terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan berpikir kritis siswa; (2) motivasi belajar terbukti dapat memediasi hubungan antara self- efficacy, self-regulation, dan self-confidence terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan berpikir kritis; (3) motivasi belajar memiliki peran mediasi yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan berpikir kritis siswa.
