Peran manajemen mutu pendidikan sangat penting dalam meningkatkan prestasi siswa karena melalui penerapan prinsip-prinsip manajemen mutu, lembaga pendidikan dapat menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang efektif dan efisien. Tujuan utama dari manajemen mutu pendidikan adalah menjamin bahwa seluruh proses pendidikan berjalan secara terarah, terukur, dan berkelanjutan demi tercapainya standar mutu yang telah ditetapkan. Dalam penerapannya, manajemen mutu melibatkan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan perbaikan berkelanjutan terhadap berbagai aspek pendidikan seperti kurikulum, tenaga pendidik, sarana prasarana, dan sistem penilaian. Metode yang digunakan dapat berupa pendekatan Total Quality Management (TQM), yang menekankan partisipasi seluruh komponen sekolah dan fokus pada kepuasan pelanggan, yaitu siswa dan orang tua. Hasil dari penerapan manajemen mutu yang baik ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya hasil belajar siswa, kedisiplinan, serta motivasi belajar yang lebih tinggi. Kesimpulannya, manajemen mutu pendidikan berperan strategis dalam menciptakan sistem pembelajaran yang unggul, yang pada akhirnya berdampak langsung pada peningkatan prestasi siswa secara menyeluruh.
