Model Fit-Choice: Mengeksplorasi Motivasi Mahasiswa Pendidikan Akuntansi Dalam Memilih Karier Mengajar

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi aspek motivasi yang paling dominan dalam mendorong mahasiswa Pendidikan Akuntansi memilih profesi guru berdasarkan kerangka Factors Influencing Teaching Choice (FIT-Choice). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program pendidikan pada salah satu perguruan tinggi negeri di Surakarta. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 85 responden yang diperoleh menggunakan teknik total sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner secara daring. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) faktor altruistik memiliki hubungan paling dominan terhadap motivasi mengajar dengan nilai koefisien sebesar 0,532 dan p-value sebesar < 0,05; (2) faktor ekstrinsik memiliki hubungan positif terhadap motivasi mengajar dengan nilai koefisien sebesar 0,404 dan p-value sebesar < 0,05; (3) faktor intrinsik memiliki hubungan positif terhadap motivasi mengajar dengan nilai koefisien sebesar 0,148 dan p-value sebesar < 0,05. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa orientasi pengabdian, keinginan membantu orang lain, dan kontribusi terhadap perkembangan peserta didik menjadi alasan utama yang mendorong individu untuk memilih dan menjalankan profesi mengajar.
